Green Gorilla
GreenGorilla.com is the web's premier green kid's channel, focused on inspiring kids to take real-world steps toward creating a healthier environment. GreenGorilla is home to a wide variety of eco-tips, activities, blogs and videos about issues important to kids. It also features great music, curricula for teachers, and eco-merchandise.
The site's main feature is an animated show called, "Gorilla in the Greenhouse," an action-packed animated web show distributed by National Geographic Kids and the Earth Day network. One part Scooby Doo and one part Schoolhouse Rock, "Gorilla in the Greenhouse" is set in a magical greenhouse in San Francisco and features a visionary green gorilla and four kids, who use their imagination, their network and their music to overcome challenges in each episode. The first two episodes, "Turn it Up Day" and "The Great Pacific Garbage Patch," have been played over 300,000 times to date.
