SAN FRANCISCO (December 9, 2008) - Turn off Dora and Sponge Bob. GreenGorilla.com's "Gorilla in the Greenhouse" is infectiously funny, cleverly written and (listen up, parents!) shares a meaningful moral in each episode. Episode 2 of the "Gorilla in the Greenhouse" animated Web series hits GreenGorilla.com today.

Entitled "Turn it Up," "Gorilla in the Greenhouse" Episode 2 follows characters Kijani, Socket, Scoot and others as Turn It Up Day sweeps through the city and people are using energy like crazy! But when the gang finds out the evildoing Hufflebot-and the worm in his head, Wormulus-are behind the energy guzzling in their coal-seeking quest to eat a local mountain, it's time for action. The episode also includes the original song" Free Power Generation," performed by music director Vir McCoy and co-written with show creator Jay Golden.

"'Gorilla in the Greenhouse' helps kids understand the importance of their actions and the positive difference they can make in the world," said Golden, who also serves as Vice President, New Media, for GreenGorilla.com's parent company SustainLane Media. "Unlike what you might find on Disney or Nickelodeon, our show's music, animation and innovative storytelling inherently prepares kids for the new green generation. GreenGorilla.com features tons of activities for kids, as well as the debut episode of "Gorilla in the Greenhouse," which launched this past April to coincide with Earth Day 2008. Teachers' curriculums are available for both episodes. Additional episodes are in the works for 2009.
