Accountant/Bookkeeper

We are seeking an extremely responsible and organized full time accountant/bookkeeper with broad accounting knowledge to manage and perform various accounting functions and assist the Controller/CFO. The qualified candidate will possess an enthusiastic interest in sustainable lifestyle choices.

Primary Objectives:

Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of daily general accounting functions and maintenance of accounting records including:

• Month end journal entries
• Accounts Payable processing - invoice analysis and payments thereof
• Accounts Receivable processing - timely invoice preparation, make and post deposits and collection efforts
• Participation and support in tax filings, compliance related issues, year end 1099 processing with the Controller/CFO
• Office administration

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business required
• Proficiency with Quickbooks and Excel require
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously with attention to detail
• Experience with the online advertising and Adify Network Platform a plus

Web Developer

We are looking for a web developer to work with our engineering, creative, and marketing teams to support social networking and other media (green information sharing platforms.) You should have strong skills in standards-based XHTML and CSS, professional level Javascript, and experience with server-side scripting languages, like JSP and PHP (see below for details). You should be able to create and improve user interfaces, use user testing and site analytics in an iterative process, as well as understand website goals and metrics.

You should also be a self-starter, enjoy working in a small group, capable of learning fast, and passionate about supporting the movement toward more sustainable living. Local applicants only please!

Required Skills:

• Able to produce easy to use, intuitive user interfaces from prototypes and wireframes.
• Understanding of website analytics and their use for improving user interface and conversion rates.
• Standards-based XHTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of Javascript, including third party framework such as YUI, Prototype, JQuery
• Able to design and implement extensible, componentized HTML and CSS.
• Knowledge of CSS best practices and third party CSS libraries.
• JSP, PHP, intermediate-level knowledge of server-side scripting languages in order to implement presentation layer
• Clean coding: Coding by hand only
• Photoshop/GIMP production skills, including the ability to implement presentation layer from psd files
• Can work in a Linux environment
• Hands-on experience with SEO
• Eye for detail, great organization skills, ability to take direction (as well as to provide guidance), not to mention a sense of humor

Senior Account Executive

This is a great opportunity to help us build our business in the quickly growing green space. We are looking for an experienced online advertising salesperson to join our growing team. You will be targeting large interactive agencies and direct clients who are targeting the "green" or LOHAS consumer base. In the past year, sustainability stories have been on the cover of The Economist, Business 2.0, Time Magazine, Wired and other media publications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for negotiating and selling online advertising and transactional-based marketing placements
• Must be able to show quota attainment and growth over a two year period
• Oversee, maintain and upgrade existing accounts to ensure ongoing client satisfaction
• Develop new business and long term account opportunities through prospecting and cold calling
• Coordinate, manage and resolve account maintenance issues
• Must be able to effectively interface with CEO, VP Sales, and other management executives
• Complete RFP's and proposals, follow up on submissions and close business
• Must be passionate about the online space and have a detailed working knowledge of the industry along with a pulse on what is forthcoming
• Develop and cultivate long lasting Client relationships with all levels including CEO, CMO, Brand Managers, Agencies and Media buyers
• Navigate internally with various business units to create compelling Media solutions
• Must be extremely effective at initiating high-level contacts in accounts and their agencies, and have strong presentation skills to close the sale

Credentials and Experience

• Experience selling to National tier accounts and companies
• Minimum 2 years direct sales experience - internet advertising experience a plus
• Demonstrated sales results
• Aggressive sales instincts, coupled with consultative, professional demeanor
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for the "green" space
• Intuitive/creative thinker
• Outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (Word) and CRM systems including Salesforce

Marketing Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated intern for the marketing department that will have their hands on many areas of our business, allowing them to learn and create in the fast-paced environment of a start-up. By the time the internship is over, our intern will have the ability to create and implement a marketing campaign from start to finish.
